INDIANAPOLIS – Friday, October 30, 2026 – DC BLOX and the Central Indiana Building Trades Council today outlined a community benefits plan tied to DC BLOX’s incentive proposal for its data center at 305 Fintail Drive in the Thunderbird Commerce Center. The plan currently totals nearly $15 million in community commitments, subject to approval of the incentive package, and includes the City’s Good Neighbor Standards. These commitments are in addition to taxes paid by DC BLOX.
The plan, developed with local elected officials and community leaders, would support local development, parks, public art, public safety, education, neighborhood connections, infrastructure, and community projects that are ready for investment. Specific projects will be shaped by community feedback.
The incentive agreement would make these commitments binding and enforceable by the City. DC BLOX and future tenants did not pursue the maximum property tax exemption for personal property available under state statute and instead are seeking to contribute to the local taxing districts and community through this proposal. DC BLOX also agreed to binding commitments around a closed loop cooling system, green energy and a commitment to pay for full cost of energy, sound restrictions, and screening to name a few of their 20-point community commitment plan at the Metropolitan Development Commission meeting in July.
A press conference will be held Friday, October 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Richard G. Lugar Plaza, City-County Building, to share a review of the project’s updated financial figures, including property tax revenue, the Irvington-Brookville TIF district, local taxing units and the community commitments.

“This project has always meant hundreds of quality construction careers for Central Indiana’s skilled trades workforce, and this package includes additional opportunities for our members to be part of local projects that serve our community through the community benefits outlined in the request.
