Industry Situation
The rapid growth of the Southeastern US and the desire of hyperscale and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) tech companies to deploy infrastructure closer to their consumers in the region is driving massive investments to expand digital infrastructure. The accelerating scale of digital communications and the need for richer user experiences in accessing content is driving demand for data center capacity across the region with Atlanta alone expecting over 1 gigawatt of absorption over the next 10 years.
DC BLOX Solution
DC BLOX is a leading vertically integrated digital infrastructure provider based in the Southeast that is aggressively addressing this opportunity. Currently, the company operates Tier III colocation data centers in Birmingham, AL, Chattanooga, TN, Greenville, SC and Huntsville, AL. New projects include a new Cable Landing Station (CLS) in Myrtle Beach, SC and a dark fiber route running from the Myrtle Beach CLS to Lithia Springs, GA.
DC BLOX is offering a hyperscale-ready data center campus in Rockdale County, Georgia, referred to as Atlanta East and located in Conyers, Georgia approximately 24 miles to the east of downtown Atlanta. The facility will consist of 68 acres of land with over 1 million square feet of data center space at full build-out, with 144MW critical load and up to 216MW total load for the campus.

Regional Dark Fiber Network
DC BLOX has built the first high-capacity, low-latency dark fiber East-West route from Lithia Springs, GA to Myrtle Beach, SC. The route connects into Atlanta’s Internet Exchanges and passes through Augusta and Charleston to the Myrtle Beach cable landing station offering connectivity to regional and International destinations. DC BLOX is also building a dark fiber metro ring around Atlanta connecting into the Atlanta East and Atlanta West sites as well as to the East-West route.
New dark fiber route options to suit specific customer needs are also available.
