John Dumler, P.E.
SVP Data Center Design & Engineering
John is responsible for leading the design, engineering, and innovation of scalable, flexible, and efficient digital infrastructure across the DC BLOX portfolio. His work spans enterprise, hyperscale, AI, and edge data centers, with a focus on customer engagement, innovation, agile adaptability, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining DC BLOX, John served as Director of Energy and Engineering at Digital Realty, where he drove both strategic and tactical initiatives, including advancing operational energy efficiency and engineering effectiveness across a global portfolio of more than 200 data centers. He has also contributed significantly to data center engineering at INAP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
John holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and maintains C.E.M., DCEP, and LEED certifications. Originally from New England, he now resides in Atlanta with his wife and two teenage daughters. Outside of work, John can often be found traveling for his daughter’s lacrosse tournaments, contemplating a round of golf, or making yet another trip to Home Depot for a tool he doesn’t really need for a home project he probably should have hired a professional to do.
